Phat Dat donates VND 2 billion to Covid-19 Control and Prevention in Binh Duong Province

In the course of promoting corporate social responsibility amidst the complicated Covid-19 epidemic, Phat Dat Real Estate Development Corporation (Stock code: PDR) donated VND 2 billion to buy rapid antigen tests for the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (FFC) of Binh Duong province, supporting the work of contact tracing and early detection of Covid-19 positive cases.

On the afternoon of 28th June 2021, the Binh Duong FFC held a conference to announce the Decision on promulgating the regulation for receiving, managing, distributing and using money and goods mobilized, voluntarily contributed to Covid-19 prevention and control.

At the announcement ceremony, representative of Phat Dat Real Estate Development Corporation, Mr. Bui Quang Anh Vu – CEO, presented a donation of a total value of 2 billion VND to purchase rapid antigen tests.

Accordingly, 14,820 rapid antigen tests will be donated to the Vietnam FFC of Binh Duong province and delivered to the Center for Disease Control (CDC) of Binh Duong province. As such, the province can increase its capacity in testing, contact tracing, and early detection of Covid-19 positive cases. This is of utmost importance and urgency in the context that the Covid-19 pandemic is continuing to develop complicatedly across the country and Binh Duong – which houses the largest industrial parks and industrial clusters.

By far, Phat Dat has donated a total of VND 3.7 billion to localities and reputable organizations. Previously, Phat Dat contributed VND 1 billion to the program “Making COVID-19 Vaccine Contributions with Tuoi Tre Newspaper”, VND 500 million to the Vietnam FFC of Binh Dinh province, and VND 200 million to Quang Ngai province, supporting the Government in realizing the goal of free vaccination for the entire population.

A rapid antigen test is a rapid diagnostic test that detects the presence of Covid-19 virus-specific protein (referred to as an antigen) in a sample of respiratory secretions of a patient (nasopharyngeal or respiratory secretions). Antigens will be detected when the SARS-CoV-2 virus is multiplying in a certain amount.

This simple and easy-to-implement method gives a result in only 15-30 minutes, allowing quick detection of people infected with Covid-19.
