- Nhu cầu về nhà ở vẫn đứng ở mức cao
Báo cáo của Bộ Xây dựng chỉ rõ đến năm 2015, dân số Việt Nam khoảng 91,5 triệu người và nhu cầu về nhà ở là 1.966,6 triệu m2, trong đó, khu vực đô thị là 891,8 triệu m2, đáp ứng chỗ ở cho 34,3 triệu người dân.
Nhu cầu về vốn đầu tư cho nhà ở năm 2015 là 2.205 nghìn tỷ đồng và đến năm 2020 là 1.767 nghìn tỷ đồng. Nhu cầu hiện rất lớn nhưng thị trường nhà ở cho thuê chưa phát triển tương xứng.
Thực trạng này đòi hỏi phải có giải pháp can thiệp để thúc đẩy thị trường bất động sản phát triển đồng bộ với đa dạng các loại nhà ở để bán và cho thuê nhằm đáp ứng nhu cầu của thị trường và điều kiện thu nhập của các tầng lớp dân cư.
